Departmental Cut-Off Marks for Scholarhip and Admission Into Uniben

The fourth point to consider when applying to the University of Benin is the Departmental Cut-Off Marks for Scholarships and Admission. This is an important one because your chances of getting admitted depends on your performance in the JAMB examination as well as your departmental cut-off mark. To gain admission into Uniben, you must have a minimum JAMB score of 180 and at least five (5) credit passes in SSCE, NECO or its equivalent with English Language and Mathematics. In addition, the Departmental Cut-Off Mark may be higher than the general cut off mark, depending on faculties and departments. Remember that failure to meet the required score may limit your chance of gaining admission into Uniben.

How to Apply for Admission at Uniben

Once you have your UTME results, the next step of the process is to apply for admission at the University of Benin (Uniben). You’ll need to create an account on the JAMB portal and fill out an application form with some of your personal information. You’ll also need to pay a processing fee, which can be done online or through a bank.

Once you’ve submitted your form, you’ll be sent a confirmation email from Uniben containing a unique ID. With this unique ID in hand, you’ll be required to visit the school for biometric verification. During this process, your fingerprints will be taken and stored in their database.

Once you’ve finished all these steps, all you have to do is wait for a response from Uniben!

Opportunities for Scholarship, Loans, and Grants at University of Benin

At University of Benin, there is a wide selection of opportunities for students to get financial assistance. Both degree and non-degree students can apply for scholarships, loans, grants, and other forms of aid. Most of these opportunities are made possible by the university’s generous donors who want to support the educational objectives and aspirations of its students.

For those interested in scholarship opportunities, the University offers several special programs such as the Merit Award Program, the Lagos Study Abroad Program, the Alumni Development Endowment Fund Scholarship Program, and more. The Alumni Development Endowment Fund Scholarship Program is especially noteworthy because it provides a full tuition waiver for degree-seeking students who demonstrate exemplary academic performances.

Additionally, there are loan programs available to both degree-seeking and non-degree seeking students. The university allows local student to take out small loans with no interest rate to meet school tuition expenses while international students can take out an emergency loan at a low interest rate. There are also grant opportunities available through various government and private organizations that can help cover tuition expenses.

Uniben has a plethora of aid options accessible to current and prospective students—all you have to do is start exploring!

Conclusion

In a nutshell, the JAMB brochure for University of Benin provides potential students with all the relevant information they need to know about the school, such as the history of the university, the courses available, and the admission requirements. Additionally, the brochure also contains information about the city of Benin City and the state of Edo, so that potential students can get a better idea of what to expect if they decide to attend the university.
