JAMB Cut-off Marks Policy Meeting – Live Updates! The 2019 JAMB Policy Meeting is over and we are pleased to inform you that the cut-off marks for 2019/2020 session has been released.

We are very pleased to inform the general public especially 2019 UTME candidates that the JAMB Policy meeting for 2019 is over and the cut-off marks has been decided.


According to The Nation Newspaper, the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and higher institutions on Tuesday approved 160 and above as cut-off for admissions in 2019.

JAMB Announces Deadline Admission Process

The decision 160 and above is for all public Universities (ie Federal and State Universities).


JAMB and the school authorities also approved 140 for admission into private universities.


120 UTME score was approved for admission into public polytechnics while 110 is the minimum for admission into private polytechnics.

JAMB, Institutions Approve 160 as Cut-off Mark for Admission

However, all candidates should note that, institutions are allowed to increase their cut-off marks. By implication, some public universities cut-off mark might still be 180 or 200 but must not be below 160.


Also remember that today 11th June 2019, we had a new Senate President and his name is Senator-Elect Ahmed Lawan. Senator Ovie Omo-Agege also emerged as the Deputy Senate President.
